DAAD Research Project 2026: “Hate on the Internet”

We invite researchers from Kyrgyzstan to apply for a research internship on the topic of “Hate on the Internet.”
The project to protect young people from hate on the Internet is being implemented in Kyrgyzstan by the Taalim-Forum Public Foundation, an official partner of the University of Hamburg.
The research is conducted in close collaboration with partner organizations in Ukraine, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, and Germany, enabling the application of comparative and cross-cultural approaches to the study of digital hate in various social, political, and educational contexts. The internship combines remote participation in research work with an intensive in-person research visit to the University of Hamburg.
The internship is part of an international DAAD research project and includes:
• remote research work
• a 3-month research visit to the University of Hamburg (September–November 2026)
• academic mentoring and participation in international scientific collaboration
👤 Who is eligible to apply?
Researchers in psychology, education, or related social sciences who are proficient in English and interested in international research.
