The T. Ermatov Bishkek Music and Pedagogical Institute hosted the ReAction Anti-Cyberbullying Week: “Your Reaction Matters!” The initiative was implemented in partnership with the Taalim-Forum Public Foundation and aimed to foster a culture of responsible digital communication among future educators and develop a strong professional stance against online harassment.
About 200 students and faculty members participated in the events. Throughout the week, participants engaged in interactive sessions, creative group work on creating videos and posters, and took part in an interactive symposium dedicated to the role of future teachers in the digital space.
As part of the initiative, a “Student Code of Digital Ethics” was developed, and a guide titled “Digital Ethics for Educators” was prepared.
The week culminated in a presentation of participants’ work and the unveiling of the institute’s draft Code of Digital Culture.
The ReAction Week not only raised awareness among students and faculty about the issue of cyberbullying but also laid the groundwork for long-term changes in the institutional culture of digital interaction. It is expected that the educational and creative materials developed will be used in future teaching practices and educational initiatives.
